FAQ

Do you dye to order?
Yes — all fabrics are dyed fresh to order so you can choose the base, count, size, and colourway that suits your project best.
Q: What is your current turnaround time?
Turnaround is currently 3 weeks from order to dispatch.
I’ll always update this if it changes.
Q: Can I order custom colours?
Yes! If you have a colour idea in mind, pop me a message with your inspiration (photo, name, theme etc.) plus your base, count, and size. I’ll let you know if it’s possible and give you a quote.

Bases, Counts & Fabric Info
Q: What fabric bases do you use?
I use Zweigart bases (Aida, Evenweave, Linen, and Hardanger). Zweigart is known for excellent quality and a lovely stitch experience.
Q: What counts do you offer?
I generally offer:
• Aida — 14, 16, 18, 20
• Evenweave — 25, 28, 32
• Linen — 28, 32, 36, 40
• 22ct Hardanger (occasionally)
Other counts may be available — just ask!
Q: Are your fabrics colourfast?
Hand-dyed fabrics are not guaranteed colourfast, so I recommend avoiding soaking for long periods and using lukewarm water if washing is needed.

Sizing & Cutting
Q: Do you serge/overlock the edges?
Yes — all fabrics are overlocked/serged to help prevent fraying during stitching.
Q: Do sizes include shrinkage?
This can vary slightly with hand-dyeing. I cut generously before dyeing but small variations are normal.
 Shipping & Delivery
Q: Do you ship internationally?
Currently I ship within the UK only. International shipping may be added later.
Q: How are orders packaged?
Each piece is individually bagged, labelled with base/count/size/colourway, and shipped flat for minimal creasing.
Q: Do you offer tracked shipping?
Yes — tracking options are available at checkout.
Section 5: Returns & Issues
Q: Can I return my fabric?
Because fabrics are dyed to order, returns aren’t usually possible.
However, if there’s ever an issue, please contact me — I want you to love your fabric.
Q: What if my order arrives damaged?
Pop me a message with photos and I’ll sort it for you.
General Stitchy Questions
Q: What threads look best on your fabrics?
Everything from soft pastels to bold brights — it depends on the colourway! I showcase stitched samples on social media so you can see them in action.
Q: Can I see fabrics stitched up?
Yes — I share works-in-progress and finished pieces on Instagram and Facebook, plus customers often tag their stitching too.
